Karina is a versatile professional who wears many hats, each holding a special place in her heart. She provides on-site and in-salon experiences through the DuPage and Chicagoland area using only the finer vegan and cruelty-free products, designed for picture-ready hair and makeup.
Within C’zar, Karina is a full-time stylist, colorist, educator and makeup artist. Her role as an in-house educator involves training emerging talent, guiding them from Apprentices to Artists! Within the program, Karina teaches a bit of everything, however, when the color portion begins is when you can truly see her passion shine. Her specialties include color corrections, transformations, vivid, and lived-in color all created with Aveda’s palette with unlimited customizations. Some of her certifications include Cezanne Keratin Treatments, Masters of Balayage, Five Ways to Foil with Gina Bianca, Advanced Haircutting with Dusty Rhode, Bridal Styling by Antonnia Ilchenko, Platinum Blonding and Modern Pricing with Abigail Bazzoli, Balayage Painting by Candy Shaw, Aveda Color Formulation by Lupe Voss and Analisa Peck, Bridal Hair Styling and Curly Hair Cutting with Syndey Misseri, Cutting with Ricardo Dinis and so much more. Karina believes that lifelong learning and knowledge sharing are essential for her evolution towards becoming the most accomplished artist and educator she can be.
In July 2022, Karina reached a significant milestone by becoming part of Aveda’s network of Color Purefessionals. This accolade allows her to travel to institutes and salons, sharing her expertise to both new and seasoned talent!
During her time away from the salon, Karina dedicates herself to continuous education, nurturing her bridal business, traveling for some rigorous hiking, spending time with loved ones, indulging dance classes, and prioritizing self-care—a practice she encourages in others.
